A Playful and Functional Dental Office
UG Group (formerly 2WR+ Partners) partnered with Dr. Keller to bring his vision for Columbus Children’s Dentistry to life. His goal was to create a fun and welcoming space where kids feel at ease. Drawing inspiration from aviation, the design reflects an aircraft hangar aesthetic, emphasizing simplicity, durability, and functionality—much like an airplane’s construction.
Every element of the design supports a positive experience for young patients. The space is bright, inviting, and efficient, blending playful elements with a practical layout to meet the needs of both children and dental staff.
A Thoughtful Design for Children’s Dentistry
The 5,000-square-foot Columbus Children’s Dentistry facility optimizes space while maintaining a fun, engaging atmosphere. Key design features include:
- Efficient Layout – Open hygiene bays on the south side maximize light exposure, while private treatment rooms on the north side provide a quieter experience.
- Natural Light & Expansive Views – Large glazed openings flood the space with daylight, creating a warm and inviting environment. The waiting area and game room feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of landscaped outdoor areas.
- Vibrant Color Accents – Carefully placed colors enhance both the exterior and interior, making the space more engaging for kids.
- Cost-Effective Materials – The building utilizes durable materials like block and metal panels, ensuring longevity and ease of maintenance.
- Acoustic Design – Central support spaces serve as a sound buffer, maintaining a calm atmosphere between treatment areas.
