A New Boys and Girls Club for Learning and Growth
UG Group (formerly 2WR+ Partners) collaborated with the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson County to design and construct a 6,800-square-foot facility dedicated to supporting underserved youth. This new center provides a safe, engaging environment where children and teens can participate in after-school programs and summer activities. The project’s success began with UG Group assisting in securing grant funding, ensuring the realization of this much-needed community resource.
By integrating functional and inclusive design, the facility now offers a dynamic space where young people can learn, create, and develop valuable life skills.
A Thoughtfully Designed Space for Youth Development
The new facility features dedicated areas tailored to academic, recreational, and leadership development, including:
- A large game room, fostering social interaction and teamwork.
- A computer lab, equipping students with technology for learning and skill-building.
- An art classroom, encouraging creativity and self-expression.
- A teen activity center, providing leadership programs and peer connections.
Each space was carefully planned to create an atmosphere where students feel motivated, supported, and engaged. The combination of educational and recreational areas ensures a well-rounded experience for youth in the Jackson County community.
Expanding the Impact of Boys and Girls Clubs
The community has fully embraced the new facility, and its success has demonstrated the importance of intentional youth-focused design. Due to its positive reception, UG Group has been selected to design another youth center in a nearby town, furthering the mission of providing safe and inspiring spaces for young people.
Shaping the Future with Purpose-Driven Design
UG Group is proud to contribute to youth development initiatives that empower young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. By designing safe, inclusive, and engaging environments, we help foster stronger communities and brighter futures.
